Las Vegas – Part IV

There are exciting activities and fun events scheduled on a daily basis at the Las Vegas Strip. Ranging from musical fountain display, fountain show, volcano simulation, and many more; they are both entertaining and astonishing.

One thing for sure: In Vegas, you’d never get bored. So much to do and see! Due to time constraint, my brother and I tried to fit these activities into our schedule for that day to the best our ability, and hoped that we didn’t miss out any that we wanted to attend.

Fountains of Bellagio. A complimentary Las Vegas show of stunning art of dancing water in the 8-acre lake, accompanied by some classical and Broadway tunes. It’s a wonderful creation of the water, music, and light.

We enjoyed it a lot. Simply breathtaking!

Water dancing with the tune of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”

Lake of Dreams at the Wynn Resort. Spanning 20,000 square ft. with a sophisticated lighting system and 700 removable panels at the bottom of the lake, the spectacular light-and-water show attracts millions of visitors. There are thousands of underwater LED fixtures. The light and colour combination is marvelous!

It is always fun in Las Vegas. It feels like the parties are everywhere when the sun sets. We didn’t watch the dancing fountain just walked passed it. We went to Celine Dion concert in Ceasars Palace.

Do you need a visitor visa to get into the US?

    Ai Shiang,
That’s cool. You went to Celion Dion concert in Vegas! Las Vegas is a city that never sleeps, I witnessed it myself one night when I stayed up walking around all night. There are always traffic on the road and people on the street.

Yes, I need a visitor visa to visit US. Do you need one too?

Yes, we need too. But the good thing is, it is valid for 10 years, multiple entries, isn’t it? It is such a drama with the US. They even have the rule stating that if you fly in from LA, you must fly out from LA, otherwise you will not be allow in next time. I wonder if that rule still applies.

I was just browsing the internet last night looking at all those nice jacket (North Face), but then they (US) don’t mail it to NZ or Australia. Their prices are HALF the prices here. Even after the exchange rates, it is still cheaper to buy retail in the US. I even feel like buying a ticket and go shopping there hahaha! What a disadvantage living in southern hemisphere when it comes to consumer goods.

    Ai Shiang,
That’s right. Validity of US visa can be up to 10 years, with multiple entries. The city where you arrive and depart from, has to be the same?! I wasn’t aware of that at all, at least not from traveling in the North America. Hmm…I can imagine how troublesome that would be for travelers.

When it comes to shopping, especially name brand merchandise, US certainly has the unbeatable deals, especially the outlet stores! I felt like I could shop for days; better still, if I’ve unlimited fund to do so ;)
