Have you ever wonder what it takes for a  TV show to be broadcast? How do the producers know if it’s appealing to the audience? Getting a decent feedback from the crowd is important for a new show, prior to its broadcast on televisions. The response collected from the public can be helpful in establishing the show. The next question is, who can the crowd be? You & me!

Are you interested in watching and rating new TV shows? The CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System) Television City at MGM Grand is a research centre to gauge audience reactions on new TV shows. Participants use touch-screen computers to record their responses while watching the show in a small theatre.

Free tickets are given out at the centre. Everyone is welcome. Be sure to be there at least 30 minutes prior to the show for a ticket. The screening runs for approximately 60 minutes.

We visited the New York New York Hotel & Casino next. The replica of Statue of Liberty signifies the landmark of it. A Big Apple experience in Las Vegas!

It was busy, and it always is, at the Las Vegas Strip. Busy crowd and heavy traffic. It’s truly a happening place!

Brussels. Two hot Belgian waffles with two scoops of vanilla ice-cream. Fresh strawberries, topped with homemade strawberry sauce, and whipped cream.

Crepes Nature. Two hot served crepes served with butter, brown sugar, and jam.

Crepe Normandy. A big hot crepe baked with caramelized apples flambeed with Calvados, served with ice-cream.

Chicken sandwich, served with fresh sliced tomatoes, baby carrots, Alfalfa sprouts, and Romaine lettuce.

Spaghetti Bolognaise with bell pepper.

Mrs. Hawaii. Toast with ham, cheese, and pineapple. Served with fresh carrots, sliced tomatoes, Alfalfa sprouts, and Romaine lettuce.

The food is reasonably priced; sandwiches are below $5 each, and basic crepes and waffles are well under $4, for each order. I ordered the Brussels and had a taste of the Crepe Normandy. They were ever good! The food was prepared fresh once the order has been taken. It involved a bit of a wait, but it’s certainly worth it.

Have you noticed something different about the flame here? Did you see the extraordinary bright blue flame and lime green flame in the middle?

I came to learn about the “Funky Colored Flames” that does the trick. It’s composed of mainly copper and sulphate chemicals, in the form of crystals. This sachet of magical powder is to be thrown into the flame (the sachet is not to be opened) to create the stunning effect. However, keep in mind that this is only used for indoor or outdoor wood fireplaces. Do not use it on a cooking fire.
